About the Authors
Rainer Maria Rilke (1875–1926) is considered one of the greatest poets who ever wrote in the German language. His most famous works are Sonnets to Orpheus, The Duino Elegies, Letters to a Young Poet, and The Notebooks of Malte Laurids Brigge. His collected works include hundreds of other poems, essays, plays, and stories.
C. S. E. Cooney is the author of two stand-alone novels and several short story collections, including the World Fantasy Award–winning author of Bone Swans: Stories. Other books include The Twice-Drowned Saint, Saint Death’s Daughter, Dark Breakers, Desdemona and the Deep, The Witch in the Almond Tree and Other Stories, and the poetry collection How to Flirt in Faerieland and Other Wild Rhymes.
