About the Authors
David Sedaris is the author of a dozen books, including four that made the #1 New York Times bestsellers list. He is a regular contributor to the New Yorker and BBC Radio 4. In 2019, he was inducted into the American Academy of Arts and Letters. He is the recipient of the Thurber Prize for American Humor, Jonathan Swift International Literature Prize for Satire and Humor, and the Terry Southern Prize for Humor.
Ian Falconer (1959-2023) wrote and illustrated the bestselling and Caldecott Honor–winning Olivia series. He studied art art history at New York University and painting at Parsons School of Design, and his illustrations have appeared on more than thirty covers of the New Yorker. He has also designed sets and costumes for the New York City Ballet, the San Francisco Opera, and the Royal Opera House, among others.
