A Witch Shall Be Born by Robert E. Howard is a gripping sword-and-sorcery fantasy novella set in the ancient desert kingdom of Khauran. The story centers on twin sisters divided by fate—the noble Queen Taramis and her dark counterpart Salome, a witch marked by a blood-red crescent. When Salome returns from exile to seize the throne through deception and sorcery, the kingdom plunges into chaos. Betrayal, dark magic, and brutal tyranny follow as Conan the Cimmerian, exiled and left for dead, rallies allies to restore the rightful queen.
