" Sarcastic, funny, and as the title implies very dark. This book is certainly not for squeamish children who are easily frightened as it contains a lot of gory images. It is a very fun, unique, and complex telling of the Grimm Fairytales that I think children will enjoy. "

About Adam Gidwitz
Adam Gidwitz is the New York Times bestselling author of numerous books for children, including The Inquisitor’s Tale, which won the Newbery Honor and the Mythopoeic Fantasy Award.
