About Mother Teresa
Mother Teresa (1910–1997) founded the Missionaries of Charity, whose sisters, brothers, and priests serve the poorest of the poor throughout the world. She won many awards, including the 1979 Nobel Peace Prize. After her death in 1997, a popular movement for her canonization quickly sprung up, and she was beatified in 2007.
