Dorothée Berryman is a singer, actress, and narrator. Besides her roles in television, she is known most for her film roles in The Red Violin and The Barbarian Invasions. She was nominated for a Genie Award in 1987 and then in 2011 won the Jutra Award, the annual Canadian cinema award, for Best Supporting Actress for her role in the comedy Cabotins. Born in Quebec City, Quebec, she is also a jazz singer who has performed at the Montreal Jazz Festival, released two albums, and hosted a jazz program on the Espace musique radio network.
