"The book was heavily promoted and had the added hook of being 1st published work of a flight attendant. I read the synopsis...zzzzz...formulaic, right? NOT. There were twists, turns, very interesting characters and flashbacks but it all came together with the narration by Steven Weber. He was amazing. The plot was similar to a lot of action movies, but Weber adding life to all the characters had me riveted. T. J. Newman, a former bookseller turned flight attendant, worked for Virgin America and Alaska Airlines from 2011 to 2021. She wrote much of her debut novel, Falling, during cross-country red-eye flights while her passengers were asleep.
Steven Weber is an Earphones Award–winning narrator who has been a finalist for the prestigious Audie Award for Best Narration. He has been named by AudioFile magazine three times for best narration of the year. As an actor, he made his film debut in 1984 in The Flamingo Kid and has since acted in numerous films and television series, including Wings and The Shining. He has also appeared in many stage productions, including National Anthems and the Broadway musical The Producers.
