A Simple Plan Audiobook

" Probably the most ridiculous and unbelievable book I have ever read. Despite all the rave reviews, the two lead characters are operated like mindless puppets by the author to create his idea of a thriller without doing any of the work. There is no way these two would have ever behaved this way. None. Zip. Zilch. Nada. "

" A fair book about three men who are out hunting and discover a wrecked airplane with 4.5 million dollars in it. The men decide to keep the money and not tell anyone about it. Things soon snow ball out of control and terrible things start to happen. This book was hard for me to read because these guys all did the stupidest things possible. Unbelievably stupid. The book starts off great but rapidly declines. In the end it just irritated the crap out of me. "

However, I found the characters to be utterly detestable. I personally would've preferred if they had some redeeming qualities and therefore were more relatable. I could not tolerate Hank (the narrator) and his bat shit crazy wife, Sarah, trying to justify their heinous actions. The puzzle pieces of their characters just didn't fit together for me. I enjoyed the premise of this book and the twists and turns throughout but overall would not re-read or recommend it. "
