Barack was born in Hawaii to a white mother from Kansas and a black father from Kenya. Although his father left when Barack was two years old, he always knew love from his mother and her parents who he called Gramps and Toot. And now, this man with the strange name, becomes our 44th president. "Can we make this world a better place?" he asked and from everywhere voices echoed back, "Yes! We can!" "

" (B) The is a interesting Biography of Barack Obama. I would use it for k-5th. I think that this book is just right for that age group. It was wonderful illustrations and is informative. This book would be great to integrate social studies with language arts. Since Obama biographies are plentiful, this book could be apart of a compare and contrast activity. "
