"The first Tanenbaum Book I truely enjoyed. This time he did not introduce so many characters you could not keep them straight. The plot was great and was well developed. " — Dennis (4 out of 5 stars)

“One of the most authentic voices in American crime fiction, Tanenbaum takes us on another turbocharged ride down mean streets, with characters we've come to love. Hoax is a brilliantly plotted thriller with enough twists and turns to live up to its name and enough heart-stopping action to keep you turning pages through the night.”
“So intimate a look into the heart of evil, Hoax seems more fact than fiction. Through a series of heinous murders, tawdry relationships, and internal corruptions, Tanenbaum delivers a devastatingly honest portrait of a legal system gone awry and the brave few who fight for justice.”
“Tanenbaum's best Butch Karp thriller yet—and that's no ‘hoax.’ His knowledge of the criminal justice system and forensic science is unequaled…brilliantly written.”
“Using his previous experience as the top homicide prosecutor in the Manhattan DA's office, Tanenbaum, a master of mystery fiction, brings us Hoax, a suspenseful, action-packed thriller.”
“Relentlessly builds suspense…cleverly planned to the last detail.”

" Not the best of the series. "
" why do I keep reading this series? "
" Robert Tanenbaum is an author that I discovered this summer. I love suspenseful mysteries with good courtroom scenes. He is also writes with a lot of intelligence. "
" No. 16 of Butch & Marlene "
" This novel is needlessly too long. It plods through to a relatively interesting conclusion, but takes much too long to get there. This is definitely not one of my favorite Tanenbaum stories and rates 4 of 10 stars. "
" If I had read this and not listened to it, I would have found it tedious, but listening to it was fine. It's not great writing and the plot is a bit cliched, but I found the twin boys cute, and I liked the relationship between the mom and daughter. "
" I read this book because I had nothing else to read, and bought it at a yardsale. However,it turned out to be a good read, and had alot of action, madness, and mayhem. "
" Good read. A little far fetched, but a fun (light) read. "
