Ever the hero for the underdog, Strike agrees to assist and discovers that the supposed killing Billy witnessed is just the tip of the iceberg. The ending here is wild, just get ready.

A hefty dose of guilt propels Robin and her business partner Cormoran Strike to take up the mantle in discovering who is behind the online alias Anomie- the one they presume is behind the murder of Edie Ledwell. Ledwell is a famed cartoonist and co-creator of a cartoon named…The Ink Black Heart. His pleas for help are denied by Robin and days later he’s murdered in the setting of his cartoon, and both Strike and Robin are galvanized to find the killer, both for justice and to clear their consciences.
