Dr. Vince M. Bertram is president and CEO of Project Lead the Way (PLTW), the nation’s leading provider of STEM programs in K-12 education. Prior to joining PLTW in 2011, Dr. Bertram served as a school superintendent, principal, and teacher. He was appointed by the U.S. Department of State as its speaker and specialist on STEM education in 2014, testified before the U.S. House of Representatives about the importance of STEM education in solving America’s skills gap, and has held numerous leadership roles including chairing the National Council for National Honor Society. Bertram earned his doctorate, specialist, master’s, and bachelor’s degrees from Ball State University and holds a master’s degree in education policy and management from Harvard University.
