Dr. Steven R. Gullans, serves as a Managing Director of Excel Venture Management and Excel Medical Fund, LP At Excel, Dr. Gullans focuses on life science technology companies with particular interest in broadly applicable disruptive platforms. He has over twenty-five years of experience as a scientist and an entrepreneur in both the academic and corporate sectors. He is an experienced investor, entrepreneur and scientist. He was a faculty member at Harvard Medical School and Brigham and Women’s Hospital for nearly twenty years, where he pioneered the application of microarrays and bioinformatics to the discovery of novel drug targets, disease biomarkers, and therapeutics.
