All that aside, I don't think I've ever felt such an intense relationship with the characters (love AND hate) as I have with Wuthering Heights. One of my all time favorites. "

    " A good, dark story, but as with all the books by the Brontes, features a masochistic relationship between a woman & an abusive man. If you've read bios of the Brontes sisters and their obnoxious father and brother, it's not hard to understand why they seem incapable of rising above dysfunctionalism. "

    " I loved the unrequited love story between Heathcliff and Cathy, however Bronte's colloquial style can be tiring at times. The relationship between Healthcliff and Cathy, paralleled by nature, is notable. There are many subtleties within the book that make it a timeless classic. "

    " I enjoyed Wuthering Heights on my second read through, the first time I read it I was way to concentrated on doing an analysis it for my GCSE English Literature essay! That it a real shame because the book is a masterpiece of it's age. I fondly think of it as popular fiction of it's day. "
