" The premise of this book sounded really cute and when I book-talked it to a group of 6th graders, they all jumped at the chance to check it out. For me, though, it was just okay. I never felt a connection to the characters and it seemed like the author was trying to incorporate too many crazy scenarios into one book. Maybe the kids will feel differently? "

" This was a cute book, and had an interesting reverse lycanthropy twist, but it is definitely for younger teens or teens with a lower reading level. Lots of action and a little suspense will keep them interested and searching for the sequel. "

" Love the twist on the werewolf theme. A shapeshifter in the form of a "dog" who is a boy learning to control his shifting while befriending Nat, whom saved him from death. So much going on that ya probably could use a score card to keep it all straight. Enjoyable read! "

" When Nat Carver gets a dog that looks remarkably like a wolf, what he didn't realize is that the dog is actually a lycanthrope! A funny adventure into the world of werewolves without any of the romance now associated with them. Next step for Bunnicula fans. :) "
