Practicing medicine in a small town like Cypress Hollow has always been Naomi Fontaine’s dream, but she’s had a hard time becoming part of this tight-knit community that her late friend, knitting guru Eliza Carpenter, loved so well. Naomi just doesn’t seem to fit in, no matter how hard she tries. But when rugged Rig Keller moves to town to take over half of Naomi’s medical practice, he instantly charms everyone in Cypress Hollow—including Naomi.

Witnessing the painful aftermath of his brother’s broken relationship, Rig isn’t interested in getting serious. But that doesn’t mean he can resist playing doctor with his new partner. Swept up in a passion neither expected, the two are soon faced with difficult choices. While keeping secrets is dangerous, revealing hidden truths can lead to heartache. Now, Rig must decide whether to risk his heart, and Naomi whether to open hers completely, if they want to have a chance of being together.

" This is probably the weakest title in the series for me. I still enjoyed it, but the protagonist is socially awkward, which made me think about all the times I have been socially awkward, and thus the escapism aspect of this book went right out the window. "

  • 5 out of 55 out of 55 out of 55 out of 55 out of 5 Brandy Y | 2/9/2014

" Curse you, Rachel!! This one was fantastic, and now I've gone and spent all day reading it and it's done. Need more Cypress Hollow, need more Eliza, ASAP. "

" Family isn't always related by blood is the lesson Dr. Naomi Fontaine must learn. She also must learn that she can't control everything. Rig Keller is just the person to point that out. He has some lessons to learn as well. Rachael Herron's characters are engaging but I felt the story was a bit scattered and the romance was rushed. I liked it but felt this could have been two books. So many characters, so many issues that were touched on but not fully explored. Herron is a good storyteller but I think she tried to tell too many in this novel. That said, I look forward to the next book in the Cypress Hollow series. "

" I love this series. I had to skip book 2 because it wasn't available on audio but I fully intend on reading it because I love Cypress Hallow and I love the characters the author creates. Great book! "

" I've read the author's other 2 books and I thought that this one struggled. Didn't seem to be much of a storyline although the characters were likeable. "

" Just a great book for a crisp, fall day. Reminds you of first love and the jitters that go along with it. This was my favorite of her 3 so far. I rarely read a writer more than twice that I want to read more, but Rachel Herron keeps it interesting! Rachel Herron even commented on my Facebook post! "

" I think Rachael Herron is a hilarious author. However, this third book in the series was good and okay. I still liked how there was a connection to Eliza Carpenter but maybe the shyness of the doctor wasn't something I related to or put me off? I kept waiting for her to speak up or something. "

" Loved it! I so want this series to continue. I just love the writing and the great characters. Toss in some knitting and a lovely town on the coast and I'm a goner. I laughed and I cried so it was a perfect read. "

" Rachael did a great job of depicting a woman on the autistic spectrum deal with interpersonnal reeltionships. She was spot on for many of the conflicts people on the spectrum deal with and it was so nice to see that having the perfect love in your life didn't fix everything. "

  • 5 out of 55 out of 55 out of 55 out of 55 out of 5 Kendra | 9/15/2013

" I love the Cypress Hollow books. They combine knitting, real romance stories with real life complications and real people, and some pretty hot and racy sex scenes. Whew.....what's not to love? I can't wait for the next one! "

  • 3 out of 53 out of 53 out of 53 out of 53 out of 5 Jeanne | 5/28/2013

" The character development left me a bit wanting - saw options for a whole other story which seemed to be sqeezed in with little attention. Really liked the author's first two books and look forward to more to come. "

" I liked this, and like the others it was a quick read, and hard to put down. But I didn't feel a kinship with the socially awkward leading lady. I recommend the series, but this wasn't my favorite. "
