Publisher Description

Princess Wisdom, known as Dizzy, longs for a life of excitement beyond the staid old kingdom of Montagne.

Tips, a soldier, longs to keep his true identity a secret.

Fortitude, an orphaned maid, longs only for Tips.

These three souls might possibly attain their dreams while preserving their empire from ruin - if only they can bear one another's company long enough to devise a plan.

Romance and adventure join forces in this hilarious tale told in diaries, letters, an encyclopedia, and even a play, all seamlessly stitched together by Catherine Gilbert Murdock, author of Dairy Queen and Princess Ben.

"This sequel to Princess Ben focuses primarily on Ben's granddaughters, and is told through diaries, encyclopedia entires, and play scenes. The variety of narrators provides interesting perspectives on events, and the humor and adventure are abundant."

" I like the general story, but the narration, while at first kinda fun, in the end got in the way of the story really being told well, imo. "

" Once I got into the story, I started to like this book, but it took a while. The style was jarring with all of the different "sources"of information. I ended up liking Trudy's parts and Ben's parts and disliking all of the other parts, because those were the only two characters you could really get into with such short bits of writing. "

" I was excited about reading this book, but then it just felt flat. I found the narrative to be disjointed and the plot didn't appeal. Trudy was my favorite character. I didn't like Princess Wisdom at all. "

" nice YA fantasy book but the style is a bit strange at first (chapters are written differently : diaries, extracts of encyclopedia or who's who, extract of play, or third person point of view....) "

" I was looking forward to this new book by Murdock, having been a real fan of Dairy Queen, but have to say I was very disappointed. Told through diary entry, etc. I found it confusing and after all was said and done, a rather bland finale. "
