Publisher Description

Stepping off the train in Sweetwater Springs, Montana, Elizabeth Hamilton is filled with relief, nerves, and the thrill of hope. Life on her dear friend's ranch will be very different than Gilded Age Boston's high society. But at least here, Elizabeth is far from her spiteful sister-in-law and the bittersweet memories of her late fiancé.

Nick Sanders has loved Elizabeth since he first glimpsed her portrait - not that he dare admit it. A ranch hand has no call to woo a well-born lady, especially when she's being courted by the town's finest gentleman. Yet there's something in her mix of courage and compassion that won't let Nick quit.

In Wild Montana Sky, Debra Holland's acclaimed USA Today best-selling romance, Elizabeth faces the hardships and dangers of the West with resilience that surprises even her.

"I loved this sweet Western romance. The beginning reminded me of Sarah, Plain and Tall. Remember, Sarah leaves home because her brother marries and there's not room in the house for two women? Well, Elizabeth, the heroine of this book, faces the same dilemma. She decides to visit her bff in Montana, and as a Boston society lady, Elizabeth is appalled at what is allowed and encouraged in the west. I loved her transformation from the society lady to the western rose, the woman who realizes what she think she wants and what she really wants and needs are two different things."

" Really and truly, please do not write about the West if you haven't spent a lot of time there. The story was inconsistent, to say the least. "

" This is a light, easy summer read with a fairly predictable outcome. I enjoyed it, but probably would have rated it 3.5 stars, if possible. It does make me want to visit Montana! "

" This is one of the worst books I've ever read. The plot is nonexistent, the heroine is utterly unlikeable, the hero is so bland I can barely remember is name, and the secondary characters served no purpose except to make the heroine seem more "perfect." The writing style was horrendous; how the author got this book published is beyond me. "

" A very lovely time travel back to western Montana. The characters were sweet and well developed, but I just wish the story was continued or the portion where Nick and Elizabeth realized they were in love was lengthened. Despite, very sweet creation. "

" Beautiful romance and gripping, well-rounded story. I love this historical - the characters made the period and setting come to life. I felt like I was right there with them. The romance was sweet, heart-warming, yet not too tame either. Gripping to the end. "
