The story also deals with a 2nd murder of Mary Pat Reine who disappeared along with her horse 30 years ago. Brown does a very good job with characters both human & animal & keeps this plot moving in a way that shows especially among the humans more fire & drive in them than in any book in the series. We also get a glimpse into the world of horse breeding the extensive records that must be kept in order to do so.
