Listener Opinions

" Loved this book. But I like pretty much by Crusie, one of my fav authors. Loved the sauciness of this book and was able to get into the story and the characters from the beginning to the end. "

  • 4 out of 54 out of 54 out of 54 out of 54 out of 5 Jill | 1/31/2014

" a totally guilty pleasure. Her characters are engaging, the dialogue makes me laugh out loud, and let's face it, the woman can write sex. I have read every single one of her books. "

  • 4 out of 54 out of 54 out of 54 out of 54 out of 5 Siria | 1/9/2014

" This was sexy and fun and entirely satisfying. Yes, the plot was silly, and what I think was supposed to be the big reveal at the end was so obvious and telegraphed before hand that I had to sigh a little. But the characters were fun, the dialogue witty and snappy, and for all that we didn't see many of Temptation's inhabitants, I thought Crusie did a good job of capturing that familiar feeling of small town claustrophobia. Sophie was a solid main character, and I appreciated that Crusie wrote her as strong, not as a Strong Woman; not to mention that she was introduced to better living through mild kink, which was yum :> I'll be keeping an eye out for the loose sequel to this, which is Faking It, I believe. "

" It was just what I needed, some laugh, some romance and a fun story with fun characters, I love Jennifer Crusie humor. This one wasn't as good as "Bet me" but I really enjoyed it. "

  • 2 out of 52 out of 52 out of 52 out of 52 out of 5 Margaret Kuo | 12/28/2013

" Silly characters, ridiculous plot twists, and more importantly, over-the-top raunchiness. A light quick read but this genre just doesn't really do it for me "

  • 4 out of 54 out of 54 out of 54 out of 54 out of 5 Jennifer S | 12/17/2013

" A small town with a phallic-like looking water tower - how uptight can everyone be?? Apparently over the top conservative. Enough so that one driven woman with try to kill to keep things in order. Great comedy and romance with with just a touch of mystery. "

  • 2 out of 52 out of 52 out of 52 out of 52 out of 5 Emily | 12/13/2013
