For seventeen-year-old Janie, getting sucked into other people’s dreams is getting old. Especially the falling dreams, the naked-but-nobody-notices dreams, and the sex-crazed dreams. Janie’s seen enough fantasy booty to last her a lifetime. She can’t tell anybody about what she does – they’d never believe her, or worse, they’d think she’s a freak. So Janie lives on the fringe, cursed with an ability she doesn’t want and can’t control. Then she falls into a gruesome nightmare, one that chills her to the bone. For the first time, Janie is more than a witness to someone else’s twisted psyche. She is a participant… Download and start listening now!

" Wake by: Lisa McMann was not the best book, but I still really like it. I didn't like how sometimes the book went forward and sometimesit went backward (not literaly) Overall, I liked the plot and itwas pretty good. "

" This book had the perfect balance of suspence, romance, and mystery. Janie, the dream catcher, falls into peoples dreams. Whenever someone around her falls asleep and has a dream she falls into it and she cant control it. This book was amazing. I just found it in a used book store and started reading. I was hooked. So I went on to reading the second book in the series which was even better. Usually the first book in a series is amazing and the next book isnt quite as good. for this series, that is not the case. They keep you interested. "

" the book was okay, i really hated the fact they wrote it in 3rd person i mean is it that hard to write things in first person!n! "

" Adventure, young romance, with criminal law and the science of dreaming interwoven. Well developed characters. "

  • 2 out of 52 out of 52 out of 52 out of 52 out of 5 Jessica Smith | 1/2/2014

" This book was horrible. The only reason I gave it two stars is because it is marginally better than the other two in the series. It only gets worse. It's sad too because the idea seems like such a good one. The writing is choppy, and the direction she takes the plot in is absolutely ridiculous. "

  • 3 out of 53 out of 53 out of 53 out of 53 out of 5 Caitie | 12/31/2013

" Actually not bad. Although I can see the writing style getting everybody's panties in a twist. I just didn't let it bother me, and it was a quick read. Good for T'giving break. "

" Great book, I read it in less than 6 hours. Amazing what Janie has to live with, I would have given up long ago. Cabel is wonderful and I love their relationship. I can't wait to read FADE. "

  • 3 out of 53 out of 53 out of 53 out of 53 out of 5 Helena | 10/26/2013

" A great book, which left me dreaming of more. The only problem I had with it was that the end was perhaps a little short, I would have liked more detail on how the 'case was closed' rather than the brief synopsis given. Although that thankfully did nothing to ruin the ingenious idea of the story. "

  • 4 out of 54 out of 54 out of 54 out of 54 out of 5 Maggie Felder | 10/24/2013

" Story was a little weird, but the writing was excellent. Will definitely read the trilogy. "

" This was a good and easy ready. I like the concept however the F bomb was used too much for my liking and it was unnecessary. I will not be reading the other books because of the language :( "

" I really liked this book, and can't wait to read the sequel. I think it would have been cool for even more dreams to have been included in the book. "

  • 3 out of 53 out of 53 out of 53 out of 53 out of 5 Sarah Cass | 11/8/2012

" Fast, fast read. Literally read it in about 4 hours w/ stops. Horrible writing - all tell and no show...but the pace of the story was good, and the concept was good. I'll probably read book 2 to see where she takes it. Doubt I'd pay for it, though...I'll try to find it at my library. "

  • 5 out of 55 out of 55 out of 55 out of 55 out of 5 Bianca D. | 5/26/2011

" This is a really awesome book about a girl who can fall into other people's dreams. But even though it may sound cool, it isn't the best gift in the world to have. Read this book and find out what happens to Janie as what she calls her "curse" develops. "

  • 4 out of 54 out of 54 out of 54 out of 54 out of 5 Breanna | 5/22/2011

" This book is a severe disappointment to the first of the Wake series. I am halfway through and I don't think I can continue! I am very sad because I love Lisa McMann, but in my opinion, Fade falls short to Wake. "
