Once again under the thumb of British Intelligence, Jacky is sent to Spain to spy for the crown during the early days of the 19th-century Peninsular War. "A wild romp through spain, with guerilla fighters, the artist studio of the painter Goya, and Romas (gypsies) all left in Jackie's wake. Her old friends are quickly dispatched with in the beginning, and Jackie is left to wander about and make new friends - something she does exceedingly well. She dances flamenco, runs with the bulls, models 'desnudo' and learns to paint with oils, meets the usurper Spanish King Joseph (brother to Napolean) - and leaves her unmistakeable mark on yet another unsuspecting country."

" I loved every minute of it. However, there were some parts that I don't think would be adequate for much younger readers (e.g. Anyone younger than 14), but then again, it's Jacky Faber. There was some profanity (I can count them on less than half a hand), but they were mostly in Spanish. All in all, can't wait for the next book. "

" This is my favorite ya series. That being said, this book was the worst of them. Formulaic, predictable, boring. The first 8 were amazing! I keep listening though because the reader is AMAZING and I love Jackie "

" Posing nude for the famous Spanish artist, Goya, running with and riding on the bulls, suffering at the hands of Inquisitors, telling fortunes with the gypsies, and cooking LSD - y'know, just another Jacky Faber book. The 10th book in my second all-time favorite book series. I hope it never ends! "
