He was her bitterest enemy .

Ash Turner has waited a lifetime to seek revenge on the man who ruined his family and now the time for justice has arrived. At Parford Manor, he intends to take his place as the rightful heir to the dukedom and settle an old score with the current duke once and for all. But instead he finds himself drawn to a tempting beauty who has the power to undo all his dreams of vengeance .

And her dearest love

Lady Margaret knows she should despise the man who's stolen her fortune and her father's legacy the man she's been ordered to spy on in the guise of a nurse. "I have never read any of Courtney Milan's books but liked the first one I read Unveiled. It was pretty typical romance, two families hate each other over poor treatment and two fall in love not knowing they are part of the families they hate. Can it work out? I always love stories set in the day where there are Knights, Lord and all of that so of course I loved this one."

" There are books that hit you so hard, its tough to keep your emotions in check. This is one of those books. I recommend for everyone who loves reading books where the male main character actually has a heart and uses it. Wonderful book. I loved Ash and Margaret. I had no problems with this book at all. "

" My favorite of the series--so far. Two characters in love, but with conflicting loyalties. No way both can win. Great tangle, and great, great unwind. I look forward to Unclaimed - the next in the series! "

" I think Courtney Milan is my favorite historical romance author, because her books never trouble my feminism yet aren't totally anachronistic, and have great characterization. "

" Cute book. Not amazing but I will most likely read the next in the series. I thought the scene where Margaret read to Ash was just lovely. "

" Ash Turner definitely makes my top hero list! Can a man be any more perfectly flawed? Great story! Can't wait for Mark's next! "

" This romance is a perfect escape read centered around engaging characters with secrets. Unlike most books of this type, it was understandable why the secrets were kept and the plot moved forward nicely. It also had some wonderful humor with a secondary character's philosophical book about chastity. "

" Satisfying romance. Nice mix of arrogance and vulnerability in the hero, and a satisfying plot, which presented them with a true threat to their HEA. "

" Probably a very good book (if you consider the amount of raving reviews), just not for me. There is something about the author's writting that doesn't work. Grrrr I wish I could share the love, I mean I feel like I'm missing something !! "
