Publisher Description

It's a predator-eat-predator world for the Were-Hunters. Danger haunts any given day. There is no one to trust. No one to love. Not if they want to live....

An orphan with no clan that will claim him, Wren Tigarian grew to adulthood under the close scrutiny and mistrust of those around him. A forbidden blend of two animals - snow leopard and white tiger - Wren has never listened to anyone when there was something he wanted. Now he wants Marguerite.

Marguerite D'Aubert Goudeau is the daughter of a prominent U.S. Senator who hates the socialite life she's forced to live. Like her mother before her, she has strong Cajun roots that her father doesn't understand. Still, she has no choice but to try and conform to a world where she feels like an outsider. But the world of rich and powerful humans is never to meet the world of the Were-Hunters who exist side by side with them, unseen, unknown, undetected. To break this law is to call down a wrath of the highest order.

In order to have Marguerite, Wren must fight not just the humans who will never accept his animal nature, but the Were-Hunters who want him dead for endangering their world. It's a race against time and magic without boundary that could cost Marguerite and Wren not just their lives, but their very souls....

"I really enjoyed this book. I'd give it about 4.5 stars, because I was never bored. Some things happened a little too fast for me, but the story was still great. Sometimes I felt like the characters should have reacted with more shock at certain instances than they did. The book raises some questions too, like about Savitar and Nick. Holygeeze, the epilogue stunned me completely. The time travel part was confusing, but I could follow it. That added some more suspense to the storyline. Wren really opened up after meeting Marguerite and it was a nice thing to watch happen. :))"

" Oh Wren! I didn't know if I wanted to lust after him or adopt him! I really wanted to do both. This book is definitely on my list of favorites in the Dark-Hunter series. "

" Yet again, Sherrilyn Kenyon does it. She immediately pulls me into her story, latches me onto the characters and doesn't let me go until I am finished. And two days later, here I am, happy and satified to have another Kenyon book under my belt. At first, I thought this would be a Vane/Bride redux. But, as it turns out, it was nothing like it. This book held up on its own merit. Well done, Ms. Kenyon, for giving me another book I love. :) "

" This was not my favorite Dark Hunter book by any means. Neither of the central characters were Dark Hunters and although both Wren and Marguerite were connected to the Dark Hunter "family" (mostly through Nick), I didn't think that this story was essential to the series. "

" This book was great. I loved the relationship between Wren and Marguerite. They had a kind of connection from the beginning that they weren't going to give up on even though the odds were against them. Fabulous read! I would love to read again, but I'm lovin the series so I have to keep reading on. "

" I'm really glad that Wren got his own book. I knew his story had to be a good one and I wasn't disappointed. I gave it a four though I think 3.5 is probably more accurate...it wasn't quite as good as some of the other Were-Hunter/Dark-Hunter books I've read, but I still liked it immensely. "
