" This book was perfectly competent but didn't rock my world. Can't really put my finger on why. "

" I found this book to be an entertaining thriller, though it took me a while to get into the book. Initially, I didn't care for the main character, and later, I felt that the romance was a bit contrived and detracted from the main story, but overall, I thought the mystery was well-built and the premise interesting. " I found the characters believable, the plot twists intriguing, and some of the writing lyrical. An example of writing I loved: After a character shares a painful secret, she thinks "Maybe this was what it meant to have a weight lifted. Maybe it leaked out drop by drop in a rainfall of tears." Wow! I look forward to seeing this author grow even better as a writer. "

" Good mystery with a surprising twist at the end. "
