" This book was perfectly competent but didn't rock my world. Can't really put my finger on why. "

  • 3 out of 53 out of 53 out of 53 out of 53 out of 5 Jennifer Osterman | 2/2/2014

" I found this book to be an entertaining thriller, though it took me a while to get into the book. Initially, I didn't care for the main character, and later, I felt that the romance was a bit contrived and detracted from the main story, but overall, I thought the mystery was well-built and the premise interesting. "

" I found the characters believable, the plot twists intriguing, and some of the writing lyrical. An example of writing I loved: After a character shares a painful secret, she thinks "Maybe this was what it meant to have a weight lifted. Maybe it leaked out drop by drop in a rainfall of tears." Wow! I look forward to seeing this author grow even better as a writer. "

" Good mystery with a surprising twist at the end. "

" This was an interesting book..it was incredibly shallow so a very quick read for me. A mystery with a tinge of romance without going overboard, but it was very superficially written, so I was almost able to skim it and still get the gyst of the book. "

  • 3 out of 53 out of 53 out of 53 out of 53 out of 5 Kristin | 12/21/2013

" Very quick read. I enjoyed it even if I did figure out the murder halfway through. Will read more of her. "

" It was odd; this was a short book, but it seemed to take too long to read. I believe the author did a good job of keeping the reader wondering "who did it" until the answer was revealed. This would be a nice book to read after finishing something "heavy" such as a nonfiction book. "

" This is a great mystery with believable characters and plot line. It enjoyed the twists and turns. "

" I found the book very predictable. The author tried to put in a few twists but they seemed very transparent. But is is a good easy summer read. "

" Very interesting read I snagged for 99 cents thru my kindle. Kept me on the edge of my seat a's I tried to figure out the mystery of what happened to Diana in the story. Have always wanted to be a PI and this book was right down my alley!! "

  • 2 out of 52 out of 52 out of 52 out of 52 out of 5 Rachel | 4/23/2013

" The story was simple and uneventful; could have been written by a high schooler. "

  • 3 out of 53 out of 53 out of 53 out of 53 out of 5 Knitcrit | 4/1/2013

" This was an enjoyable, quick read. The character development was a little lacking and the "who-done-it" predictable from early on. No nail biting here. If you want a light read and a mystery, though, this is a good choice. "
