Here is a thrilling adventure story about a mysterious underground world, read by Jack Davenport.

Fourteen-year-old Will Burrows lives with his parents and younger sister Rebecca in London. He has little in common with any of them, except for a passion for digging, which he shares with his father, a museum curator and doctor of archaeology. When his father suddenly disappears after a row with his mother, the police believe he has just gone away for a while to cool down. But Will is unconvinced, and decides to investigate with his best friend, Chester. Download and start listening now!

" Teenage boys will probably love this but it wasn't really my cup of tea, a bit too long as well. "

" I enjoyed this story of a boy that feels rather displaced in his family. He has a penchant for digging and talks his friend into digging a tunnel in an abandoned field. After his father(an archeologist) goes missing he and his friend discover a tunnel in his own cellar and dig down to find an entire civilization. "

" I read it because Slate and Evan love it. I should have known that an underground tunnel setting would scare claustrophobic me! Kids rate this book much higher and it IS written for kids, not adults! "

  • 2 out of 52 out of 52 out of 52 out of 52 out of 5 Brett Dewey | 10/12/2012

" Interesting setting almost completely underground - great at capturing the feel and mood, claustrophobia etc... but I wish the characters were more compelling - would have helped speed the plotting. Hard to get through. Definitely a YA book, thought far from the best. "

" I really wanted to like this book, but it didn't do much for me. Weird and boring. Started off on an interesting premise, but I could not get into where the plot was going. Still vaguely curious about the sequels though, since a lot was left unresolved. "
