Publisher Description

Stefan Joss just can't win. Not only does he have to go to Texas in the middle of summer to be the man of honor in his best friend Charlotte's wedding, but he's expected to negotiate a million-dollar business deal at the same time. Worst of all, he's thrown for a loop when he arrives to see the one man Charlotte promised wouldn't be there: her brother, Rand Holloway. Stefan and Rand have been mortal enemies since the day they met, so Stefan is shocked when a temporary cease-fire sees the usual hostility replaced by instant chemistry.

Though leery of the unexpected feelings, Stefan is swayed by a sincere revelation from Rand, and he decides to give Rand a chance. But their budding romance is threatened when Stefan's business deal goes wrong: the owner of the last ranch he needs to secure for the company is murdered. Stefan's in for the surprise of his life as he finds himself in danger as well.

"One word. FANTASTIC. This was my first book by Mary Calmes and I was pleasantly surprised how much I loved it. I find too many m/m romance to be to girlie for me. I'm not sure why authors find the need to make one of the characters that way with a lot of corny dialog. I love to read hot male gay romance and found just that here. I loved Rand and Stefan and what started out as an intense dislike really masked a sizzling attraction that was so much more. Stefan's relationship with Charlotte was touching and funny and I loved the way she was so acccepting of who he was with no conditions. That he secretly lusted after Rand, Charlotte's brother, and vice versa, pumped up the tension between these two until Rand made his move. And what a move. Love these two!! Great story and hot love scenes...perfect in my book. I was off to read the sequel to this book, can't get enough of Rand and Stef."

" I really loved this book, it's extremely well written and fun to read. Unfortunately, for me personally there was not enough conflict through the most of the book. Top it with big time drama-queen (as in "girl-cooties" drama-queen) and it's four stars from me. "

" This book was hot. There were times when maybe I was a little let down or confused by some plot elements, but above all, Stefan and Rand are two of my favorite characters ever. Especially Rand. The chemistry was off-the-charts. And I really loved the interaction between these two characters -- one who is an uber alpha male, and the other who's a super likeable orphan who's afraid whomever he loves will leave him. Because Rand never uses his power for evil -- it's like every time he's with Stefan, he's just wrapping him up in love and passion and want and need and it's insanely attractive. Loved. "

" Loved the humor, the banter between the guys and the intensity of Rand's emotions. Also loved the relationship between Stefan and Char, it brought another aspect to the story. All in all, a great fast read, with loveable characters, amazing sex scenes and edgy emotions. "

" Timing is one of the first M/M romance novels I read. How did I get so lucky to start with this story? It has everything I have come to enjoy: Alpha cowboys, enemies to lovers, and a great plot outside the romance. You have to read this book! "
