For all the bodies she's encountering, you'd think beat cop Joanne Walker works in Homicide. But no, Joanne's a reluctant shaman who last saved mankind three months ago; surely she deserves more of a break! Yet, incredibly, Armageddon, Take Two is mere days away.

There's not a minute to waste. But when her spirit guide inexplicably disappears, Joanne needs help from other sources. Especially after she accidentally unleashes Lower World demons on Seattle. Damn. With the mother of all showdowns gathering force, it's the worst possible moment for Joanne to realize she should have learned more about controlling her powers. " Another great book in this series. Not much to say, but as the second book in the series, C.E. Murphy's writing is improving, and the development of the characters in this one was better than the first, and I'm really looking forward to picking up the third one, Coyote Dreams. "

" Second in this series about a Seattle-based female cop with newly awoken shamanic powers. Most of the story takes place in a dreamscape where she learns to use her powers. The rest of the story takes place during a heat wave in Seattle and involves a witches' coven and her friend Gary having a heart attack. Unfortunately, Joanne has been neglecting her shamanic studies for many months, so now that she needs them, she's on a crash course that nearly kills her. She makes a few horrible decisions and nearly destroys Seattle, but she sets it all right by the end. I was taken by surprise by the twists in this story, which doesn't happen often enough. I really enjoy this series and recommend it. I look forward to reading more. "

" A solid book. The next book will need to be better or I will be abandoning this series. "

" I love the characters and idea of the story kept me interested, but the story dragged out and the endless description of the magic that's unfolding didn't really make things clear.. it manly made things more confusing. I'm not ready to give up on the series yet. "
