"I enjoyed this story. My first read of Agatha Christie. Normally I am not fond of an overabundance of dialogue, but she definitely did a great job with this story. Very enjoyable. I liked how she emphasized people's habits to make you realize the truth."

" Fun stuff. Interesting that it was written in 1925 - movie from the 1950s updates it a bit, and elaborates the story more, but the essence is here. "

" I love love love Agatha Christie but this book just didn't do it for me. Not enough "puzzle" and not enough of the great characters I expect from her. A very rare dud for Agatha Christie. "

" This collection of short stories only had one featuring Hercule Poirot. They tended to be more suspense/supernatural than straight-out mystery, and most didn't require official intervention. Enjoyable, if you're not looking for a full-length Miss Marple/Hercule Poirot mystery novel. "
