"I know the family secret."

Amanda Griffin is on the run. Eight years ago she disappeared after witnessing a terrible crime. Now her family thinks she’s dead, but she’s back in town…desperate to find a way to protect the ones she loves.

"Pay me to go away."

Police Chief Luke Granger is determined to find out who is behind the threats against Amanda and her sisters. With danger pressing in, there isn’t much time, and Luke must put everything on the line.

Chief Granger and homicide detectives Connor and Marsh will do whatever it takes to stand in harm’s way for the sake of the three Griffin women. It’s no longer professional—it’s personal. But chances are that at least one of them will fail…. And it’s going to take a faith deeper than any of them currently knows to stand and confront the danger still to come.

" I enjoy most Christian fiction and have enjoyed other Dee Henderson books more, but this time I found some aspects of the main characters to be just too much to be believable. But it was still interesting enough for me to finish it. "

  • 4 out of 54 out of 54 out of 54 out of 54 out of 5 Bola | 2/6/2014

" The book was ok, a bit long at times and picks up towards the end. However I did the enjoy the Christian aspects to it. "

  • 4 out of 54 out of 54 out of 54 out of 54 out of 5 Pamela Trawick | 2/6/2014

" Romantic mystery. Quick, stay-up-all-night read. Only downside perhaps was the romantic pairing of practically everyone. Enjoyed the story. "

  • 4 out of 54 out of 54 out of 54 out of 54 out of 5 Joanie | 1/27/2014

" Amanda's sister thinks she id dead ( murdered) but after eight years of being on the run, she appeared. The sisters were left a huge inheritance from their father that they didn't know they had. People were getting killed and still chasing Amanda, (Amy). Everything about this book was great and the author did a good job with you wanteing to turn each page! "

" Really good at the beginning, then it started with too many stories in one novel, without the good finish. Disappointing. "

" First time to read this author. The book was interesting and suspenseful but I am not a fan of killing off a main character. I like happy endings. The ending of this book was a surprise and dull. "

" A good clean book. It was a nice mystery and romance. It was a little slow at times and also a bit predictable which is why I rated it a three star. Otherwise it was a good clean read. "

" An okay read. Hard to get into and I just finished it just to say I finished it. The ending was better than other books of hers I have read but I really didn't get into it. The characters and plot were very surface and the romance part was a joke and silly. "

" I really liked this book. Although it is listed as a romance, I felt the romance was more low-key. The inspiration aspects were even more low-key, but still definitely there. To me, the more major aspect of the book was the suspense, and that kept me wanting to know what would happen next. "

I was sad at one of the events in the story and almost started to cry which surprised me.

As the story unfolded, I had the end figured out, but really enjoyed this book. I don't typically enjoy a mystery, but this was great. "
