Publisher Description

How do we find the courage to always be true to ourselves—even if we are unsure of who we are? That is the central question of international bestselling author Paulo Coelho’s profound new work, The Witch of Portobello. It is the story of a mysterious woman named Athena, told by the many who knew her well—or hardly at all. Like The Alchemist, The Witch of Portobello is the kind of story that will transform the way readers think about love, passion, joy, and sacrifice.

"Sherine Khalil's journey to seek purpose in her life has brought her in contact with "The Mother." A wife, a daughter, a friend, a lover and a mentor. Sherine's journey is nothing but life changing. I'm utterly astounded by Paolo Coelho's mastery of portraying life lessons incorporated in human beliefs that allowed me to take good look at where my life is now and make the most out of it."

" I wouldn't say that I enjoyed the story as a whole, but there were some moments worth remembering and some life lessons that I deemed significant on a personal level, mainly about doing what you love and true happiness. Sometimes the message Coelho tries to convey isn't very clear, but I always say that it's not the book, it's what you make of it. "

" Selalu bisa menikmati karya Paulo Colheo.Kali ini diceritakan dengan cara sedikit berbeda, menggunakan sudut pandang dari orang-orang di sekitar tokoh utama, Athena. Buku ini kembali mengajak mempertanyakan apa itu cinta, hidup, bahagia... Tuhan. Jangan dilewatkan kalo Anda mampir ke toko buku :) "

" Not one of Coelho's best books, but it still holds the same sort of metaphysical vibe that his book tend to channel. I normally walk away from his books with some sort of uplifting lesson for life, but the message from this book wasn't as clear to me. "

" Honestly, this was the book that put a pause for a long time in my continuous Paulo Coelho buffness. All that dark magic theories got too ridiculous. Coelho's admission of being involved in the cults was interesting, but Beatles using it too...I mean...give me a break! "

" A journey to explore who you are, & what you should do with your life (I am not taking about the alchemist though...) reading to coelho gives me joy but the stories seems to have the same storyline although not the same sittings, the novel is good & exiting but not unique. "
