Publisher Description

He is Layel, king of the vampires, a master seducer no woman can deny. But since a rogue horde of dragons killed his beloved over two centuries ago, Layel has existed only for vengeance...until he meets Delilah.

Wary of love, the beautiful Amazon wants nothing to do with the tormented vampire. Yet there's no denying their consuming desire every time he nears her.

Neither trusts the other - nor can they survive alone. For in an impossible game of the gods' devising, they've been trapped on an island, about to face the ultimate challenge: surrender to the passion that will bind them forever...or be doomed to an eternity apart.

New York Times and USA Today best-selling author Gena Showalter's books have been featured in Cosmopolitan and Seventeen magazines and on MTV.

"It really was a great book and once you read more you realized that there are really two love stories going on. It's just a great book to get into. It was just great to read about how much Layel changed and how much he ended up showing her he really wanted her. You never guessed her biggest fear was going to be letting him love her but it was just great. I really loved it!"

" I love the way Gena weaves so many stories together. This is one of my favorite books of this series, mainly because of Alyssa and Shivawn. Yes, I cried. So heartbreaking! "

" The first time I read this, I realized that I could care less about the main couple.. The only reason I kept reading was the secondary couple's story was FREAKIN WONDERFUL!!!! In fact when I reread this, their's is the only part of the story I reread.. I understand now why I never liked the main story, (replacing a dead mate).. But since I really love the other story I am upgrading my rating to two stars.. 1/23/2013 "

" Gena Showalter is an interesting author. Her paranormal romance books are enjoyable. She (generally) moves away from the typical creatures of the genre and writes strong female characters (in this case an Amazon warrior). I am hoping her YA fiction is as enjoyable as the Atlantis series. "
