Publisher Description

Regency London - a dizzying whirl of balls and young ladies pursued by charming men. But the Woodmore sisters are hunted by a more sinister breed: Lucifer's own. Voss, also known as Viscount Dewhurst, relishes the sensual pleasures immortality affords. A member of the Dracule - a cabal of powerful, secretive noblemen marked with a talisman that reveals their bartered souls - the mercenary Voss has remained carefully neutral... until Angelica.

Angelica Woodmore possesses the Sight, an ability invaluable to both sides of a looming war among the Dracule. Her very scent envelops Voss in a scarlet fog of hunger - for her body and blood. But he is utterly unprepared for the new desire that overcomes him - to protect her.

"First of all-I loved the title. And I loved the Regency Era with vampires idea. While reading the book I was happy to find that the author was true to the historical period and the characters acted accordingly. It was like reading a typical historical romance, except the hero is a vampire. Cool. Also he was a selfish bad boy who in the end is redeemed by love and the desire to be a better person. I enjoy story lines like that. I thought it was interesting how the heroine, Angelica, could see the exact moment of a person's death by touching something of theirs, for instance a glove. So now she is alway burdened with knowing when everyone around her will die and how. I'm very interested in reading the second book in the series, The Vampire Dimitri. Dimitri and Angelica's sister I'm sure will get together in that book. Sounds interesting. The set up in this book for the third book, The Vampire Narcise, wasn't as compelling for me. I'm not sure how much I liked the Chas and Narcise couple.... they came across as a little selfish to me. In order for them to be together they were jeopardizing the lives of his sisters. Not so good."

" Having read and loved Colleen Gleason's Gardella Vampire Chronicles. I was really looking forward to this new trilogy. This first book didn't disappoint until the very end ... I am sure many will love it but the end annoyed me ... but not enough that I won't be reading the other 2 lol V""V "

" I gave this book almost 100 pages and I didn't know what the plotline was. I have read Colleen Gleason books in the past and enjoyed them. This book made me hate myself for spending time trying to get into the book. It gave me a headache and I just couldn't continue on. "

" I like this author. This is probably the tamest of her books. I like her Gardella series better . So - I would actually give this 31/2 - but because I like the author so much - I recorded it as a 4. The usual vampire romance - but with a few new twists to vampire lore. "

" I really liked this book, the story is good, the characters too but I'm giving it a 4 star cause even while I liked Voss and Angelica's story, I found myself falling more for Dimitri so I'm really looking forward to starting the second book!! "
