" A good continuation of the first book. As with all Riordan books, the characters (both new and old) just bring the book to life. Of course there is plenty of time critical action (which keeps the pages turning), but it is the wonderful people in the books that make it impossible not to care what happens in the book. "

" It was okay. It took me a long time to get into the story and it took forever for me to read it! It's interesting, but the plot moves pretty slow. I prefer Riordan's Olympian series over the Kane Chronicles. "

" I am reading the book. The chapters I've been reading have been really funny! Bes, Walt, Sadie, and carter are the most funny characters. Can't Bes get some close when he's fighting? And Anubis is getting Sadie really mad in those chapters where those 2 meet up! "
