Megan McDonald, author of the best-selling Judy Moody series, creates a fun and vibrant tale in The Sisters Club. Stevie hates being the middle sister, until her father points out that being the middle means she's the cream of the cookie - the glue that holds everyone together. Now Stevie must live up to this position when her older sister starts obsessing about a school play - and a BOY - and quits their beloved Sisters Club.

" Cute but I liked the Judy Moody series better. The reading level is accessible for struggling 4th grade readers but much of the book focuses on wanting a first kiss so it felt too sophisticated for many 4th graders. "

" Like the mixture of formats, some doodles, some traditional text, some screenplay type text. Appealing story for girls, with plenty of talk about boys and first kisses. Still, very clean for 3rd-5th grade. "

" Great book for tweens looking for realistic fiction about family or school! This is the story of 14 year-old Alex, 12 year-old Stevie and 10 year-old Joey; all three sisters have distinctly different personalities in this story about young love. Alex is a drama queen, Stevie is the practical one and Joey is a scientist and list maker. Fans of the Penderwick sisters and/or Allie Finkle will like this one, too. "

" I liked this book a lot! I'd recommend it to any girl aged 10-13. If you liked this series you might enjoy the Main Street series(Ann M Martin), or the Baby Sitters Club series(Ann M Martin). "

" A cute story about three sisters in a drama filled house. The plot didn't pick up (at least for me) until almost the end. I wish there was a little more detail on the setting, the characters, and maybe some outside friends. Younger than my usual fare, but no less fluffy fun. "
