"The last book in this series kept me on the edge of my seat. While I figured out who was going to play the game to the end, I was surprised by the players and the strategy. I will truly miss this family in their quest to fulfill the prophecy."

" The author basically plagiarized his own series to write this book. Like, it was the exact same plot over again. But you got to see more of the world and your favourite characters again so there's that. "

" The Mallorean is pointless repeat of The Belgariad. What's ironic is the main character, Garion, even points this out in the second book when he asks questions Belgarath about previous events being repeated. Eddings tried to follow a formula that he believed wasn't broken but the first attempt wasn't even that great... just good. "

" It is, at long last, quite finished. Don't get me wrong, I liked the Belgariad, but the Mallorean series ran out of steam and new ideas after King of the Murgos. This book would have been rated 1 star had it not been for some supremely entertaining moments with Mandorallan. Overall, though, I say good riddance to bad rubbish. "

" I liked the other four books in the series. I even enjoyed reading this book, until the meeting. The ending was a huge let down, and then the book just dragged on and on tying up loose ends. Could have been much better. "

" The final conclusion to the saga. Wraps up everything and everyone gets a happy ending and has babies. Although the story is compelling the characters nearly spoil it for me with their ever increasing wise cracks and jibes. "

" I read the Mallorean many years ago, and although I recall at least the gist of most books I've read, I draw a blank for this series. I think it's the equivalent of a popcorn action-adventure flick. Fun if you've read the Belgariad, but forgettable. "
