The Left Behind series is one of the greatest successes in the history of publishing, with each of the 12 original novels and the first prequel all cracking the New York Times best seller list. All together, more than 60 million copies of the books are in print, meaning they comprise the fastest-selling adult fiction series of all time. Phenomenally popular authors Tim LaHaye and Jerry B. Jenkins gave their devoted fans what they wanted, more, when The Rising began the Before They Were Left Behind series, the thrilling saga that leads to the events of the original books. Now The Regime propels the story forward.

As the Antichrist continues to rise, Rayford, Buck and Chloe live their lives unaware that the globe is hurtling toward the Rapture. But when events in Israel heat up, the drama intensifies, and humankind steps ever closer to the seven years of Tribulation.

" Have read the 'regular' series and am enjoying the expanded view of the characters in these 'prequil' books. I kept wanting to say "wake up stupid, you're going to be left behind". Hindsight is so sharp whether it's in a book or life. "

  • 3 out of 53 out of 53 out of 53 out of 53 out of 5 Carla Still | 2/3/2014

" I liked this book, but it was not as suspenseful as some of the others. The story developed predictably. While the gospel message continued to unfold for the characters in the story, it did not captivate my attention. Some of this could be because we are nearing the beginning of where the Left Behind series first began. "

  • 5 out of 55 out of 55 out of 55 out of 55 out of 5 Michele | 2/1/2014

" It's great to get to know the rest of the players in these series..Now I understand why Rayford is the way he is, he's so full of himself, even at a young age...reminds me a lot about the youth of today..Great look into Carmone upbringing and Hattie also...I never thought she was a dumb blone, she just want what she can get and damn the conquestes...It every man for himself in this book...so much like today's society...Would highly recommend. "

" Did not have much of a plot. It is mainly about the development of the characters, that while interesting at times, did not seem to be necessary for the series as a whole "

" I really liked this book. Carpathia is a character that is easy to hate. The authors of these books really understand the concept of characterization. It is really hard to stop reading this series. "

" Continues the story in the prequel to the Left Behind series giving even more background to characters. A fast pasted quick read, as long as you don't read just a few pages at a time during a break like I did. "

  • 5 out of 55 out of 55 out of 55 out of 55 out of 5 Ashley | 11/30/2013

" This is the second prequel of the "Left Behind" series. It was better than the first prequel. There was a lot more action. "

" One of the few series of books both my wife and I have read are the Left Behind series. Jerry Jenkins and Tim LaHaye created characters that I wanted to follow. The story is important to me from a faith standpoint, and the writing makes it accessible to all. "

" This is part 2 to a three book series that is amazing. I read the 12 book series of Left Behind and these three books really give you a closer look at the characters beginning. "

" I really liked the left behind series, but I did not really like this book. It is a prequel of happenings before they were left behind in the rapture. I read it years after reading the series and I don't think it contributed anything new. I didn't relate to the characters. "

  • 4 out of 54 out of 54 out of 54 out of 54 out of 5 Michaelbatte | 3/22/2012

" This is another series with the Left Behind series although it is only 3 books in this series. It focuses on the beginnings of Nicholae and his early years before he comes into the Left Behind (12 book series) I guess a pre-quel to the Left Behind although it was written afterwards.
