Publisher Description

The seventh and final volume in the award-winning Tomorrow series.

After six incredible books, John Marsden has written the final volume and a last adventure for Ellie, Lee, Homer, Fi, and Kevin. It may be the end of the series, but does it mean the end to Australia as we know it or the end of the war? Or both?

"Re-read. Last in a fantastic series filled with intense action, character development, and ruminations on right/wrong, good/evil, life/death, and many other themes that thinking beings explore during and after periods of intense stress or danger, all personalized by the first person narration. This wasn't the best book in the series, but it did provide a fitting ending - not exactly happily-ever-after by any means, but relatively-happy-at-least-for-a-while-given-the-circumstances that seemed reasonably realistic."

" I haven't been this disappointed to see a series end since Harry Potter. This has been that good. The characters are so life-like. I seriously doubt I could do this series justice in a review, so I'll just say, read it. You'll like it, even if war isn't your subject. It definitely isn't mine. There's a quote that says something like, you know you've read a good book when you turn the last page and feel a little like you've lost a close friend. This is how I feel now, but there's always more to be explored. "

" The New Zealand Air Force has provided Ellie and her group with weapons and plastic explosives to distract the invaders while they attack strategic areas. In exchange they will take the feral children to safety. But Gavin escapes and stays with them. This involves, the group in the most dangerous activities in the war and ultimately Ellie is separated from her group and must work alone. It's a satisfying conclusion to the series. "

" Amazing! I couldn't have thought of any other way of finishing the series...If I hadn't already read the whole series I would be making sure I got to a book store to buy myself a copy!! "

" Super amazing! The best books I have ever read without a doubt. I was lucky enough to talk to John Marsden once. The Tomorrow Series was brilliant, I just wish I could read it for the first time again. But at least I can continue with the Ellie Chronicles. Good ending to the series, it really brought you into the story and what was happening. Amazing books! "

" Phew, it's over. Great books to read. Would probably have enjoyed the book more if there was more context like naming invaders and actual names of places... "

" This final novel in the Tomorrow series was worth the wait. John Marsden has told an amazing and believable story of what war in a developed and unsuspecting country might be like for Ellie and her friends. I loved the entire series. Thank you John Marsden! "

" It was going to be hard to wrap this all up, but it was done incredibly well and true to form, the author did his best to keep things pretty simple. A great series that was worth the read. "

" Wow. This is #7 (the last) in the series. This was my favorite of all the books. I was on the edge on my seat for most of it. At the end, I think I was just as nervous and anxious as Ellie. Also, I was happy with the end. I think I will read the Ellie chronicles next. "

" I love war books but after 7 of these Tomorrow books things start to get repetitive. That said, I still went ahead and read the all the Ellie Chronicles. "
