"Even though not a quilter, I love the Elm Creek Quilt Series - especially the volumes that meld stories of the older generation of quilters with the modern time quilters. This book is one of them. I loved it - the 4 start rating is because I found some parts very repetitive. "

" I really like these quilt books. This one got better towards the end for me but if you like these books it is a good read. It was a little slow at the beginning, but I loved her reminiscing stories about her childhood. "

" I enjoyed the New Year's traditions that were talked about in the book. Again, I felt there was repetition from her earlier Elm Creek books. Maybe I need a break from this series! I love the quilting references. "

" Another review of Sylvia's life as she ventures into marriage after so many years of being alone. Always a great listen while driving. Always pushes me closer to my quilt pile. "

" It was ok. The emphasis is on reflection which is perfect for a read based on The New Years holiday. The ending seemed forced and abrupt. I'm still hooked on the series. "

" This isn't as good as most Elm Creek Books but it's not a waste of time either. "
