" The begining was BAM! In your face and then it was a little confusing going back and forth. But once I got into I was hooked. And by the last half of the book I did not want to put it down! "

" i want to know why people read him but i have a hard time reading him cause of the sex and violence. i struggled though this book and i am beginning to see his appeal. it read so fast one could almost read it with one eye. i have his FIRST TO DIE which the tv show which starts this friday is based on and i may read it. he is a relaxing break between real writers like faulkner, and thomas wolfe. "

" A dissatisfying read overall. I was looking for indepth characters and an interesting story. I got a story that seemed to wander and then just ended and characters that were not very well developed. Patterson tells his tales well he just seemed to be missing anohter 3/4 of this one for me to enjoy it. "

" Interesting premise involving world domination and a secret club. And in the midst of all the clandestine organized crime action, the wheel-chair bound head detective falls in love with a head-strong reporter. Has a little of everything for everyone! "
