Publisher Description

Victoria Jones was a lousy liar. Not that the sensible bookkeeper was accustomed to lying - or anything else that would have disrupted her safe, dull existence. But her world took a terrifying turn when her twin brother, Alex, an agent for T-FLAC, the elite antiterrorist task force, went missing.

Now she'll do anything to find him...lie, cheat, even subject herself to the predatory advances of Alex's T-FLAC partner, Marc Savin, if it will help get her brother home safe.

But trusting the sexy, brooding operative might just be the risk of a lifetime.

The Mercenary is back and better than ever!

"This was the Harlequin romance that started it all for Cherry and her T-FLAC crew. It was out of print by the time I started reading Cherry last year. But this is a new, updated, beefed-up version and a MUST-READ for anyone who loves romantic suspense. Cherry is still, hands down, the very best at her genre. It's like the book version of Ben and Jerry's ice cream. I can read her stories in one sitting...and still crave more."

" A romance/adventure book, more romance than action. Bad guys didn't seem overly scary and the premise was weak, really send in only one operative against who knows how many bad guys? Still a quick, enjoyable read. "

" I didn't like this one, but it was one of the author's first and I've heard good things about later ones so I will give her another chance. Everyone improves with time. "

" I loved this book. It had a good bit of action in it and really elaborated on the mission T-FLAC operative Marc Savin went on to save his friend with his friend's sister in tow. Can't wait to read the remaining 13 books in the Men of T-FLAC series. "

" Listened to the book on audiobook. Enjoyed the story because it has everything a romantic suspense should have - hot as sin hero, tight storyline, sexy romance, and high suspense and intrigue. Heroine was a bit whiny for my style but I guess if I went through what she did, perhaps I would be that whiny too. "

" Always love Cherry's books. This one was a re-release of her very first T-FLAC book. It was a ton of fun, and I always love her character development and dialog. "

" Although a sexy alpha man who is helping to rescue Victoria's brother Alec, Marc can be somewhat boring at times. Which leaves the book dull at times. The story does pick up towards the end. And the love scences are okay so they make the book go a little faster. All in all I would rate it a 3.5 "

" This one was bad. The plot was whisper thin and both the hero and heroine were annoying and emotionally confused to the point of being pathetic. Don't bother with this one. I love a good romantic suspense with alpha guys, hard action and great chemistry - this missed the mark entirely. "

" Having read all the T-FLAC books (besides the psi ones), I wanted to go back and read the first one. It wasn't as good as the later books, but still a good read. The author stated she added some character development, although I think it was still lacking a little. But the plot/adventure was good. "

" Narrated by Zoe Winslow - narration is 1*When this bok was released I enjoyed reading it. When i saw that it was to be released in audio I was interested enough to purchase it, too bad it was an awful narration. The story is dated now but the narration made it plain horrible. "

" Meh. This book was okay. It was a fast read and kept my attention but it was very soap-opera like. Things were just really unbelievable. It was written in 1994 so I will continue to read the series to see if Adair improves any. "

" Memorable moments: the grotto. puking over the side of a boat on the Tyrrhenian sea. super-secret operatives who wear a single diamond stud earring. The reviews say the series get better, that this first outtake is dated and unrealistic. I shall persevere. "
