Publisher Description

When frumpy Jo Hill lands a position as a PA at Gloss magazine, it's the job of her dreams - but it soon becomes a nightmare.

As a mousy secretary with a passion for giant bags of Maltesers and comfy shoes, Jo doesn't fit in at the uber-chic office. Her boss humiliates her, her colleagues bitch about her, and even the receptionist ignores her.

Though Jo might be overweight and overlooked, she's different in other ways too. She's bright, ambitious, and smart, and what's more, she has a plan. By the time she's finished, the magazine world - and Joshua - won't know what's hit them.

"Totally enjoyed the book. Even though these story lines have been written to death but I am captured by the description and development of the characters. The thoughts going through each character and how we girls feel the insecurities esp at that age."

" Who wouldn't want to get back at all the bitchy, beautiful office girls who made your life hell? I loved this story of transformation! "

" I loved 2/3rds of the book but it got too "fake life" towards the end. I was expecting a nice moral story and thought it got a little silly with the plastic surgery and the timeline didn't add up for Mia's age. "

" This was a surprisingly good book. I picked it up because I'm getting a bit desperate for books to read on the train (I go through about 3 books per week travelling to and from work), and found the overall theme to be a good one. "

" I reviewed this for Waterstones. Definitely chick lit, but with quite a moral behind the story. Sort of The Ugly Duckling meets The Devil Wears Prada. Enjoyable, not brain taxing by any means, good holiday read. "
