The Lost Prince Audiobook (Unabridged)

" This was another fun book from Frances Hodgson Burnett. It was more of an adventure than her other books; I really liked it. "

" I enjoyed most of story part of this book, but by the end of the book I had grown quite weary of Burnett's persistent Confucian message. I find that Burnett and Kipling seem to advocate similar religious messages, but Burnett can be a bit annoying and repetitious, while Kipling fits his message in naturally. "

" I grew up loving "Secret Garden" and "A Little Princess," so I was excited to start this one. It's... fine. I don't know. It's not very suspenseful. I think the only one who doesn't see the end coming is Marco, for all his intelligence. Maybe he was in denial? It was sweet. Burnett writes well. "

" This is adventure for kids on an epic level. A secret plot to restore the lost heir of a kingdom overthrown, but set in realistic Europe... I like the characters and the way they stick together through their larger-than-life adventure. A fun read, even though it's a bit dated (by the author of Secret Garden) and so the reader can guess the ending long before the character does. "

" I read this recently as an adult and quite liked it. I was a bit tired of it by the end as it dragged on but overall I enjoyed it and I'm sure would have gained more pleasure if I was younger. "

" I love this book. It is an archetypal, romantic story of political intrigue, but it is also a window into a time period. Burnett upholds the values of monarchy and empire, so this is a bit dates, perhaps, but a delightful story none-the-less. "
