The Last Debutante Audiobook

" by far my favorite book! I love Julia London, and I think this is her best yet. Daria was not so loveable and funny in the rest of the series as we find her in The Last Debutante. My kind of heroine: when faced with a kidnapping, she refuses to be cowered, and sets out to win the love and respect of everyone in the clan. The hero is tall, and oh so yummy. Daria matches wits with him and all of the non-English loving clan members. There is much laughter, and fun. Plus, all of the unanswered questions from the other novels in the series are handled in a wonderful way. "

" It took me a while to get into the book and it was like any other romance novel. I gave it a high score because, I did not expect the ending that it was. Nice job throwing me off with that ending. "

" I might have given this a higher rating if it wasn't a complete rip-off of "Outlander." I understand that there might be similar stories floating around, but all the elements were the same: kidnapped English brown haired heroine gets brought to the laird's home (who has been shot). The names are even the same: Jamie, Hamish, Dougal, etc. The laird wants to marry the "Sassenach" (and calls her such), but cannot turn away from the responsibility of his clan, was meant to be laird, etc., etc. Likeable characters, but read this book when it was called "Outlander" and was way better! "

" London's books are always a good read. The Last Debutante does not disappoint. Daria and Jamie are fun and in love with each other. They made me smile. Also enjoyed Geordie and his slate and Anlan and Aedus. "

" I must say, this barely made the three stars but it was fun, the story is good but the climax is kind of weak considering everything that could be done with its many ideas floating around. Its a light fun read, and i really did like Daria and Jamie. "
