Publisher Description

My name is Steve Merriman and I'm 11 years old. I go to Darby Avenue Elementary School where I'm in the sixth grade. Today, March 11th, 1969, after school, I have to kiss a girl.

Thus begins the charming story of the longest day in a young boy's life. Here, for the first time as a standalone story is a remembrance from days gone by when: drop drills were performed in school to prepare for the bomb, girls had koodies, and a first kiss was both scary and enthralling and above all innocent.

"Great book for the next one in the series!! Two different love story going on along with lots of trouble for both Wisty and Whit. They discovered that being together as brother and sister is stronger than going their own read. A must read if you like the Witch and Wizard series."

" To me this book changed way too much. The first ones give the impression these were regular kids in the regular world, who just learned they are witch and wizard. Now there is the desert, and the mountain, and this city seems to be the only real city around. Suddenly we are in a whole new world, not akin to ours at all. Very disappointed. "

" 2.5 stars, I really wanted to like this book but thought it was a big disappointment. Glad I borrowed it from the library and didn't spend any money on it. No character development and the story seemed kind of disjointed. "

" Good job at bringing old friends and family and new people together in only soo many pages. Not an easy task but one you accomplished well. This book may have been aimed at Wisty mostly but good job at keeping Whit in his own spotlight. "

" I'm so over this series. It started out strong but this book just proves that some authors need to let a series go. There was no real reason for the story and most of it just really annoyed me. "

" Enough already. Time to move on to other things. Everything you write does not have to be a series. I cannot keep the grand kiss interested in this. Think about stand alone novels for the young readers. "
