Publisher Description

Using a cutting-edge technology called DHI - which stands for both Disney Host Interactive and Daylight Hologram Imaging - Finn Whitman, an Orlando teen, and four other kids are transformed into hologram projections that guide guests through the park. The new technology turns out, however, to have unexpected effects that are both thrilling and scary. Soon Finn finds himself transported in his DHI form into the Magic Kingdom at night. Is it real? Is he dreaming? Finn’s confusion only increases when he encounters Wayne, an elderly Imagineer who tells him that the park is in grave danger. Led by the scheming witch, Maleficent, a mysterious group of characters called the Overtakers is plotting to destroy Disney’s beloved realm, and maybe more. This gripping high-tech tale will thrill every kid who has ever dreamed of sneaking into Walt Disney World after hours and wondered what happens at night, when the park is closed.

"This is an amazing book! It is fast-paced and full of adventure. Any Disney fan will love this great story! When five kids became DHIs, they never expected what it would bring to them. This is a real page-turner. I never wanted to stop reading it! I found myself reliving all of my visits to Disneyland (though, its set in Disneyworld) as a DHI. It is one of the most interesting concepts on the subject I have found and I could read it again and again. From creepy Small World dolls, to violent pirates with Buzz Lightyear lazers, this book has got everything! But then, what would this story be without bringing back one of the most feared villains of all time? Welcome back, Malificent!"

" The concept is so scary and cool that if you can get past the slow start, ridiculous dialog, cardboard characters and gaping plot holes, it's a fun read. "

" I agree with every1 else this idea should have been great!! I read this specifically because Maleficient is my favorite Disney character. I think it could have been more descriptive about Disney World. The author assumes you have been there which I haven't. Would love to go though! I'm halfway through the book & nothing much really has happened in the way of action.I think it will get better closer to the end. I think this book could have been alot better. "

" A pretty exciting fantasy adventure for preteens. The interesting premise of the Magic Kingdom under attack from mysterious, evil forces, a situation that can only be fixed by 5 kids, has lots of appeal. Strong on plot, but the characters are a little flat. "

" The book club kids wanted to read this one. I felt that the characters were flat, and though the plot moved along at a nice pace, I needed a little extra help to suspend my disbelief about a key piece of technology that allowed everything to happen. "

" The beginning grasps you from the first chapter. This book is what happens to Disney World after the park closes and a little while the park is open. It incorperated many of the Disney World's most famous attractions. It mainly takes place in Magic Kingdom. But also goes to other parks as well. "
