"I thought it was very well written. I thought the ending was very believable. They way Eragorn killed the Evil King, Gallbatorix, was very cool and within the context of the story, possible. Not a romantic ending, but it was never a romantic story. It was all about duty, honor, country, perserverence, devotion and toughness."

" Great series! A very good ending. As usual, Paolini is very descriptive, almost too much so, but the images he creates are very vivid and realistic. A satisfying ending. I feel like I ended a long term relationship with this series. I'm sad that it's over, but it was good while it lasted. "

" this is too full of battles to be worth reading 800+ pages. There are some interesting ideas, takes a lot of reading to get to them. "

" This review is for the entire Cycle. The book is more or less Lord of the Rings for kids, but not nearly as good. It's a decent read if you're looking for something lengthy and semi involved, but not difficult to read or dense. "

" He truly rounded off the story well. I also loved the fact that this wasn't a trilogy. This series was my first with dragons and although i did finish these books a while back they remain my love and passion for fantasy books.(especially dragons) "

" The series is good but the story is way to wordy. Also the final book has about 100 extra pages of life after the climax of the story which is crazy. Normally one would find an epilogue of just a few pages. "

" Don't get me wrong I like this book, but the ending sucks! I wish that it could work out a little better for Eragon, like maybe he could get the girl, and not have to move away to a land he doesn't know. I would give it a five star rating if it had a better ending! "
