" I can't compliment the author enough about her fantastic writing skills. The main character, Delia, is dying of cancer but the author manages to keep things positive. I enjoyed Delia's strength, sharp wit, and thoughts on life and death. Its a wonderfully descriptive and moving story. I highly recommend this book to fans of the genre. "

  • 5 out of 55 out of 55 out of 55 out of 55 out of 5 Paula Loring | 1/6/2014

" Really good book, but sometimes hard to read. Very real and amazingly accurate for a novel. "

  • 1 out of 51 out of 51 out of 51 out of 51 out of 5 Marilyn | 12/28/2013

  • 2 out of 52 out of 52 out of 52 out of 52 out of 5 Christine | 11/8/2013

" I'll give this 2.5 stars because some of it was just weird. Overall an interesting account of a woman, who deciding to stop cancer treatment, reflects on her life and the legacy she will leave behind when she dies. "

" The beginning of this book was very rough and I had to force myself to keep reading. When I got closer to the end, however, I was glad I continued because it got a lot better. "

  • 4 out of 54 out of 54 out of 54 out of 54 out of 5 Cathy | 10/29/2013

" While confusing at times because of the movement back and forth in time between intersecting story lines, this was an interesting read about the end of the main character's life. "

  • 2 out of 52 out of 52 out of 52 out of 52 out of 5 Lori | 7/25/2013

" So far, it's not living up to the reviews on the cover :( "

" Not exactly "light' reading, although there is humor and lightness in the writing, as a young mother tries to prepare her family (and herself) for life after her death. "

" ..this was a very thoughtful story written from the perspective of a dying "household advice columnist"....trying to wrap-up all her "loose-ends" and answer all of her daughter's future unasked questions. very hopeful, positive and written with a lovely sense of humor! "

" Actually listened to this as an audio book in the car. A interesting approach to a difficult topic...I think best read by someone when healthy, but gives an insight into what a person who is dying would go through. Found the tears rolling down my face as I drove along.... "

" I loved this book - not what I expected at all! I admit I only read it because I was lined up to do a masterclass with the author (which was brilliant BTW!). The title had put me off but I found it redolent with grace, humour and love. And a damn good story! "

  • 3 out of 53 out of 53 out of 53 out of 53 out of 5 Fay | 11/17/2010

" Again 2.5 stars. I was interested in 2/3 of the book, but the 1/3 was extremely boring. "

  • 5 out of 55 out of 55 out of 55 out of 55 out of 5 Rebecca | 11/10/2010

    "
I didn't like the first 25 pages, but this book comes so perfectly full-circle that it is worth it. As lame is this sounds, it is an emotional journey. "
