Publisher Description

Princess Emma will do just about anything to get out of marrying the selfcentered Prince Jorge. So when she meets a frog named Eadric who claims-of course-to be a prince, she decides to give him a kiss and see what happens. Bad idea. The frog stays a frog, and worse still, Emma turns into a frog herself. It turns out only the person who cast the spell can break it, so Emma and Eadric are soon hopping along trying to find the witch who can make them human again. This clever twist on the classic fairy tale is full of good-natured fun and romance.

"I like the story lines in this book, but was driven nearly to distraction by the inconsistencies (ie, at one point they are invited to have breakfast in a village and after eating they are invited to stay the night because it is getting dark). It's a cute story and great for the younger reader."

Quotes

  • “High-spirited romantic comedy. . . . Fans of Gail Carson Levine’s Princess Tales should leap for it.”

" This was not as strong as the original series. Perhaps because this is the first in the new series about Emma and Eadric's daughter it spent too much time weakly establishing characters and not providing a very good quest/journey/task the the previous books did. I will definitely read the next one because I like the secondary characters very much. I would have liked a little more involvement of Emma and Eadric since those are the characters that kept me reading. "

" I have officially decided this is my favorite series. They are very clean in every way, easy and fun reads. I hate to spend too much time engulfed in a book so these are great. This particular one was not the best but quite good and leaves everything pointing to more books ahead. "

" Cute! Cute! Cute!!! This series is real quick read and tons fun! I highly recommend it to any Shannon Hale, or Gail Carson Levine fans. This is a series I will definatly read to my kids for many years to come. I had so much fun with these books I had a hard time putting them down and I couldn't stop thinking about how much Abby(my four year old) is going to love them! "

" Laurel loved this book. She's not a girly girl, so she stays well away from princessy books. This one had her giggling and wanting to read more by the author. I say that's a winner! "
