Jahna and Lovern's clan lay in the Romans' path of destruction. The death of their people is a certainty, unless a bargain is made with the Gods, even if it means a human sacrifice. Will the trade the Druid Lovern, and his visionary wife, Jahna make with the Gods, save their family?

Two thousand years later, Aine MacRae is on their trail. She's a struggling archaeologist, on the verge of uncovering the village were Jahna and Lovern lived. The farm where her site is located is for sale! But for a ghostly visit, greed almost triumphs, leaving the truth and ancient stories buried forever, but an undying love is rekindled.

" one of the best books I've read in years. Carefully researched and vivid characters that make you want more long after book has been read. "

" WOW what a book. Carefully blended time tale/travel that leaves you crying both sad and happy. LOVED This book. The setting was perfect you could really see what they were trying to tell you. I loved the easy transistions between the time its taking place. There are many view points presented and it flows well not disjointed at all. Found it by accident on my Nook and am looking forward to more from this writer! "

" I couldn't put this book down. Two stories woven togther, Jahna in 9th century Scotland and Aine in 21st century Scotland. Really well done historical novel. This e-book is available free from B&N and Amazon Kindle. "

" 2 1/2 stars- I could have loved it if a tougher editor had worked with the author more. "

" This book was pretty good, especially since it was a free download. It staryed out well, but kind of floundered about 60% of the way through. Then it seemed massively rushed, with some disconected plot points. Anyway, it was free & I really enjoyed the historical details. "

" Good story, great characters, I really like the way the author brought the ancient Picts to life and worked their story in with the story of the contemporary characters. She developed such a believeable history of a familial lineage. Makes one wonder where ones own history lies. "

" this book was free and recommended. It was just too pedestrian aka created to appeal to the masses. I finished it which says something. The underlying Druidian context is what kept me reading but ultimately the flat writing style and its attempt to appeal to all kept it from being great. "

" I loved this book. Jahna is a Druid in 70AD. Aina is an archeologist in 2005AD. Their minds (souls) connect in both lifetimes. Each has a thrilling story, but they are also intertwined. At first, it took a little time to get into it, but then I couldn't put it down. Great novel! "

" Good story about an archaeological site. I found the sex scenes to be superfluous to the story and a bit overwrought. "

" One of the most amazing books I've ever read! You will feel happiness, sadness, joy, fear and depression and a lot of anger. You will love the characters. This book does have romance but I would not read it if you read for romance and happy endings. It is a great journey through centuries. "
